MOSCOW — Iran’s Economy Minister Seyyed Ali Madanizadeh held talks with senior officials of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in Moscow on accelerating trade and expanding economic cooperation as Tehran seeks to strengthen its presence in the bloc’s market of about 180 million people.
Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union have discussed the use of a benchmark currency for financial settlements as Tehran seeks to expand trade ties with Russia and other EAEU member states and reduce its exposure to US sanctions.
