Speaking on the sidelines of his visit to Moscow, Madanizadeh said a series of meetings and negotiations had resulted in the finalization of important contracts, while new areas of cooperation, particularly in financial interactions, labor and employment, had also been discussed and agreed upon.

He said the issues addressed during the talks would be pursued seriously to strengthen and further expand economic ties between Iran and Russia.

Madanizadeh said the agreements were particularly significant given Iran’s current economic circumstances and what he described as external pressure and an economic war against the country.

“Such measures are aimed at deepening and expanding economic relations with partner countries, particularly under conditions of economic siege and war,” he said.

The minister added that as efforts intensify to constrain Iran’s economy and disrupt the country’s access to goods, expanding economic cooperation and establishing alternative trade and supply routes could help mitigate the impact of such pressures.

Madanizadeh emphasized that strengthening economic ties and making greater use of the capacities of partner countries were part of Iran’s broader efforts to reduce the effects of external restrictions and enhance the resilience of its economy.
