Iran’s Hamadan Approves $12 Million in Foreign Investment

HAMADAN, Iran — Iran’s Hamadan province has approved a combined $12 million in foreign investment for two economic projects in the agricultural and industrial sectors, with the projects expected to create more than 230 direct jobs.

Hassan Peymani, director general of Hamadan’s Department of Economic and Financial Affairs, said the two projects had secured foreign investment approvals as part of the province’s efforts to attract and facilitate foreign capital.

One of the projects involves the Malayer Cultivation and Farming Company and will focus on integrated crop and livestock activities, including breeding high-yield sheep and cultivating agricultural products on 300 hectares of land in Shush Ab village in Malayer County.

The project will receive $2 million in foreign investment from the United Arab Emirates-based Hoston General Trading Company LLC and is expected to create more than 150 direct jobs, Peymani said.

He said the project could contribute to the development of agribusiness activities in Malayer, improve agricultural productivity, generate employment and make more effective use of the county’s production capacity.

The second project, involving Asia Motor Zagros, has secured approval for $10 million in foreign investment and will be established at the Bu-Ali Industrial Estate in Hamadan.

The project will manufacture a range of sport motorcycles and road-legal four-wheel motorcycles, with an estimated annual production capacity of 8,000 units.

According to Peymani, the manufacturing facility will operate with the participation of UAE-based Arwln Star Trading LLC and is expected to generate more than 80 direct jobs.

He said the Asia Motor Zagros project could meet part of domestic market demand while also providing scope for export expansion and foreign-exchange earnings. The project is also expected to contribute to the development of motorcycle manufacturing and light-vehicle industries in Hamadan.

Peymani said the two projects underscored Hamadan’s diverse economic potential for attracting foreign investment across different sectors.

He added that provincial authorities were working to streamline investment procedures and strengthen support for economic operators in an effort to encourage greater participation by both domestic and foreign investors.

The two projects, representing a combined $12 million in foreign investment, are expected to create more than 230 direct jobs while supporting higher production, expanding export capacity, generating foreign-exchange revenues and contributing to broader economic activity in Hamadan.
