Mazandaran Issues 29 Foreign Investment Permits Valued at $560 Million Over Two Years

The Director-General of Economic Affairs and Finance for Mazandaran Province has announced the issuance of 29 foreign investment permits over the past two years, with a combined value estimated at $560 million.

Seyyed Esmaeil Hashemi emphasized the strategic role of investment in driving the province's economic growth, stating that both domestic and foreign capital inflows directly contribute to output expansion, job creation, and the strengthening of productive activities.

He noted that a considerable portion of the capital projected under these permits has already been absorbed and directed into key strategic sectors, productive industries, and the chemical manufacturing value chain.

Hashemi further stressed that channeling investments into high-value-added activities yields tangible multiplier effects on the regional economy, enhancing production capacity and fostering sustainable, employment-generating growth.

He identified enhanced fiscal oversight, improved execution quality of public sector projects, streamlined investment procedures, and accelerated business licensing as critical areas requiring continuous monitoring to improve the province's business climate.

Concluding his remarks, Hashemi reaffirmed the department's commitment to facilitating investment processes and removing administrative bottlenecks, underscoring that supporting investors and resolving economic hurdles remains a top priority for Mazandaran's economic administration.
