Golestan Issues Five Foreign Investment Permits Worth $14.42 Million

Golestan Province in northern Iran issued five foreign investment permits worth a total of $14.42 million during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2026, a provincial official said.

The investments, involving businesspeople from the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Türkiye, are focused on the province’s industrial and infrastructure sectors, according to Rouhollah Solbi, director general of economic affairs and finance in Golestan.

Salbi said the province’s Investment Services Center had facilitated the approvals through legal and advisory support, specialized services and coordination with relevant government agencies, helping reduce administrative barriers for foreign investors.

He added that Golestan’s strategic advantages in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, transportation and trade with regional countries offered significant potential for further foreign investment.

Expanding foreign investment could help boost production, create jobs, facilitate technology transfer, and strengthen the province’s economic position both nationally and internationally, Solbi said.
