Iran Participates in 51st Annual Meeting of IsDB Group

Mahdi Heidari, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance and President of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI), is participating in the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group as the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The 51st Annual Meeting of the IsDB Board of Governors is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from June 16 to 19 under the theme “Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity.”

The annual gathering has brought together ministers of finance, economy, development, and planning from member countries, and representatives of international financial institutions, partner organizations, and the private sector. Discussions are focused on major socio-economic challenges facing member states, priority areas for cooperation, and strategies for sustainable development.

Key agenda items include Islamic finance, regional connectivity in trade and transport, youth employment, climate resilience, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sukuk market development, innovation, health security, and the strengthening of social protection systems.

Iran’s participation in the high-level event provides an important platform for enhancing economic and financial cooperation with the IsDB and fellow member states. As one of the IsDB Group’s flagship annual gatherings, the meeting serves as a key forum for policy dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the advancement of development partnerships across the member countries.
